Nimi Adokiye  is a SAG-AFTRA American film and television actress of Nigerian descent. Nimi grew up in Sugarland Texas. She has two older brothers and a younger sister. Her father was a businessman and her mother is a doctor. Growing up Nimi learned early  the requirements of dedication and perseverance in achieving success. Nimi loves to travel and as a child she briefly lived in Nigeria. She loves fitness and running. In school she participated in track and field where she won many medals and awards for her team. Nimi is an accomplished singer and trained under Willie Norwood. Her music career had some success however Nimi’s love for acting took over all other interests. Her passion sparked in her first theater production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. She played Grandma Georgina and discovered her love for acting. Nimi moved to Los Angeles to attended Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theater. She has trained under the legendary Tasha Smith.  She has worked with known Hollywood names such as Queen Latifah, Danny Glover, Tyra Banks, and Sarah Silverman. She has also worked with bands Maroon 5, John Legend, Lifehouse, Weezer and Life Afraid. Nimi is constantly perfecting her craft and taking every opportunity to challenge herself and striving for stronger, deeper more meaningful roles. She is currently training with The Actors Workshop under RJ and Rob Adams. Nimi is driven, and committed to fulfilling her goals and accomplishing her life’s purpose. She is rooted in Southern California where she lives with her husband  and their dog.
